Twenty-two years ago, my brother went for a walk on his lunch break and came upon a convertible sitting in a driveway. It was obvious the car had sat there for awhile. After talking to the owner and making a promise to restore the car not scrap it, it was purchased for $100.00. He brought the car home where upon my youngest brother took a shine to it and begun working on it. Soon a deal was struck and it became the property of my younger brother.

After about 15 years of intermittent work and parts gathering, he found another project he wanted to do. With so much on his plate, he decided something must go. Because he liked the car, he wanted to keep it in the family and offered it to me for a great price. It was to be a winter project but instead took 5 more years. It was far more involved than I did ever thought (I under estimated every job).

The road was long but I met a lot of great people and a lot of new friends. Seeing as I received the car in pieces, I had never driven it and that first drive was unbelievable. It was better than I anticipated.

I still have the original 6 cylinder and power glide, but went with a 305 and turbo 350 (got it cheep). The brakes and lines are all new original style, but I added a power brake booster. The color is original with the interior very close. I choose Grand Prix rally wheels because of style and the Pontiac logo. I built the car the way I wanted but have had a lot of positive feed back on my ideas. As of this time, I have not been able to get together with the original owner to show him the finished product.
