Ken Anderson's 1969 Beaumont Custom

Can’t find any fresh pictures. I’ve painted the bottom six inches or so Black after doing a little body work and put on some new BFG’s T/A’s. I bought a 350 330 horse power deluxe crate engine two years ago. It spent last winter in the house while we were in Yuma, Arizona. I made it a priority this spring to get it between the fenders. I did all the removal and replacing myself and got a friend mechanic to give me a hand at fire up time. The inner front fenders were fibre and broken up a bit so I installed new metal ones. Cleaned everything up and installed a new heater core and radiator. A new 100 amp chrome alternator really dressed it up a bit. I put a 700 R4 transmission behind the motor. Thought I needed some kind of adaptor at the cross member but all that was needed was to move the cross member back approx 2 ¼ inches. Had the boys at Big O run 2 ½” pipe straight out the back. They installed Walker Sweet Talkers. They aren’t too aggressive so you can hear yourself think. Our son in Chetwynd is starting a Body work/Painting apprenticeship so will leave that to him. Would like yet to install carpet, seat covers and sound system next spring but might be kind of busy just cruising. The old 3007 is sitting in the carport (ran good but no comparison to the new drive train). If anyone is interested it’s there for the taking. Thanks for the great magazine. I look forward to every edition.
