Andy England's '69 Beaumont Custom

The car is basically stock, apart from the Weld Draglite Wheels and B.F. Goodrich tires, paint is basecoat with clear, as close a match as possible to the Crystal Turquoise as we could get. The interior is refinished in reproduction covers, head liner, carpet and underlay. The door panels, dash, console and glass are as far as I know, original. The car still has all of its original driveline, 2:56 rear 12 Bolt Diff, M38 TH350 Trans, L-48 300 HP 350 V8.

Being one tempted by goodies, the trans has a street/strip shift kit and engine was rebuilt with a “Warner” Camshaft, Alum. Intake, Holley 4 bbl Carb and headers.

Summer of 2007 I took the body off the frame, painted and undercoated the body and put in new body mount bushings. It was at this time I rebuilt the engine and put the shift improvement kit in the trans.

When I brought this car home, it was a complete driver, although with typical used car troubles, and a lot of body work needed. I purchased new rear quarter panels and outer wheel tubs and had my brother, Philip England of Don Boyd Collision in Victoria do all the bodywork, about 200 hours worth.

I also “chickened out” on the interior and had Buckets and Benches Company on Millstream Road, Victoria put in the new headliner and seat covers on. Then I figured since the car was there, Hey Perry!, you might as well put that carpet in there too! He also handmade the Headrest covers. It was so nice to drive it home. Oh yeah, the only time the car has been trailered, was home from the body shop. I then took this time to clean.
