David Dwinnell’s ’66 Beaumont Custom

I am a 1966 Beaumont Custom Convertible. I came into this world on July 5/66 at Oshawa, ON with a 283 ci. Engine, powerglide, powersteering and powertop finished in Tropic Turquoise Metallic , black trim and interior.

My first experience was being shipped to Burns Pontiac Ltd. In Almonte, ON July 15/66. I went to live in Arnprior where I stayed for 7 Years then a move to Schumacker for 10 years, then in 1983 back to Arnprior for 7 years. Then in 1990 I made a big move I came to Orillia, ON and this is where I call home. In the fall of 2006 I came to my new home.

My new friend is getting me back into shape. I spent the winter of 2006/2007 at his son’s shop where they gave me a frame transplant, new bushings, springs, shocks, brake and fuel lines and later a new top. Boy do I feel good. I have enjoyed doing the local cruise nights and a few out of town shows. It’s good to get out on the highway with the top down and the wind blowing thru my vents. Right now I am resting, having been fully serviced and tucked away with my blanket keeping me secure for the winter.

David Dwinnell’s ’66 Beaumont is equipped with the following
