Car: 1967 Beaumont
![]() |
Ed note: a few year’s ago David and I wrote a story about his previous 4dr Beaumont sedan. In fact we used the car as an April fool’s day story by making David’s car a one of a kind 4dr Conroy Cheetah! David got lots of years out of this Beaumont, however, ten years of winter driving were taking its toll, so the search was on for a “new” Beaumont. Here is David’s story:
Wednesday: Was thinking that I need to get another car for the winter as the Beaumont is getting tired. Mentioned to my dad that I was going to have to do some patching and suspension work if I am going to continue to drive it .
Thursday: Get a phone call out of the blue. I answer and a guy says " you left a note on my Beaumont about 2 years ago. Are you still interested because it is for sale" I had to think long and hard about the car he was talking about. I then remembered it was a nice original 4 door sedan but with some rust and a few dents. Thursday night: go look at the car. It was way better that I had remembered. 6cyl AT. P/S. Running and driving condition.
Friday: Bought car. Timing was perfect! Price was right. and I saved having to hunt for another 6 months to find a good solid car. Runs and drives great, all new brakes, good glass, no holes in floor or trunk (very solid car!) I am hoping for another 10 years of driving a Beaumont.
