From The Editors Desk
Dave Weir
Editor “The Canadian Classic Chevelle/Beaumont News”If you are visiting our web site for the first time-Welcome!! To all returning visitors - Welcome Back!! We hope you find our site interesting and informative. The first edition of the club magazine for 2009 was a special tribute to the ’69 models; 40 years old in 2009! Several of our members’ 69’s were featured in the magazine; other ‘69’s will be featured in upcoming editions.
Our club magazine “The Canadian Classic Chevelle and Beaumont News” is published six times per year (January, March, May, July, September, and November) and each edition contains feature cars, informative articles, feature articles, club news and photos of club activities. The publication is mailed out to the more than 600 active club members. Members cars featured in the magazine are then posted, with member’s permission, on our web site. Members must first submit a feature car story for the club magazine to publish before the car and story will appear on our web page. Take a look at “Our Members’ Cars” link on the web site; there many interesting stories to read! The club magazine is a high quality 28 to 32 page publication thanks to the efforts of our editor Dave Weir and his assistant Rick Pawlas. Rick is a “genius” when it comes to magazine layout and graphics. His wife Donna is also “a keen eye” in helping find those pesky typos!
All club members are encouraged to submit articles/photographs and classified ads to the magazine. Classified ads from non-members interested in finding or selling Chevelle/Beaumont/El Camino/ Sprint or Malibu parts and or cars are also accepted. Feature car stories, car show articles, photos etc should be submitted to Dave Weir at daweir@telus.net All classified ads should be forwarded, to our classified editor, Don Earnshaw, dearnshaw@shaw.ca. Message to Club Members:
We encourage all members to submit articles, photographs and interesting information about your cars to us. If you are taking in a car show in your area send us a write up and a few photos of the show. In 2010 we hope to hear from members across Canada and the USA. It is always interesting to hear how a Beaumont found its way to the USA. It is your input that helps make our club magazine one of the finest!Enjoy our Web Site !!!
